To keep shining a light on Jennifer Provençal’s suspicious disappearance, people in British Columbia and beyond have kindly accepted my invitation to shine a purple light on their porches or from their windows. Purple was Jennifer’s favourite colour. Purple is also the colour associated with raising awareness for International Women’s Day, for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People.

February 2026 marks ONE YEAR since Jennifer went missing from her home in Forest Grove, British Columbia. Please join in community action to keep shining a light — for the truth, for Jennifer, for missing women in Canada. Starting on Sunday, February 1, 2026, shine a purple light at home or at work, wherever you are. Share your photos on social media (and share with Johanne, Jennifer’s sister, or with the missing person Facebook group for Jennifer).
